This coffee comes to us from the family farm of Manuel Antonio Barrantes, a farmer who we have had a very close relationship with for over 15 years. This semi honey processed coffee is roasted on the lighter side of medium and contains notes of lemon, cherry and milk chocolate paired with a citrus fruit acidity.

Rick Hubbard first met Antonio and his family at a Costa Rican specialty coffee competition called Cosecha de Oro. He tasted coffee from this farm blind, with over 20 other coffees on the table, and was pleasantly surprised by the stellar sweetness, balanced acidity, and cleanliness that was wholly unique at the time. He met with the family the next day hoping to purchase their coffee. The meeting was a success and has lead to a fruitful partnership that still thrives to this day.
