This coffee comes to us from the Nyeri growing region of Kenya, located between Mount Kenya and the eastern side of the Great Rift Valley.
Kenya Thageini AA is sourced from family owned farms organized around the Thageini Factory (wet mill) within the Nyeri growing region. Since the farmers around the wet mill are all members of the Aguthi Farming Cooperative Society, their coffees leave the wet mill and then head to a dry mill in Gatuyaini owned by the society. This ensures that the farmers have the highest level of involvement and say in how their product is handled and cared for. Given the rich soils and elevation that this coffee is grown at, the beans have been imparted with a natural tart sweetness, making this a delightfully fruity cup.
Expect a bright cup with a grapefruit acidity accompanied by notes of cantaloupe and cherry blossom.
